ITV took no prisoners yesterday as they pulled April fool’s stunts on two of their most popular morning shows.

The con began on GMTV when Loraine Kelly introduced a guest who had lost 9 stone in 6 weeks using the brand new American miracle product ‘So-Tox’.

The product it was claimed works by stimulating the metabolism and all that you needed to do was put the cream on nightly along with the special socks that also came supplied.

Viewers were told to check out the website for more information but when they tried to order the product were sent to a dead link and informed of the April Fool.

Phil and Fern were also in on the action and on their show This Morning informed viewers that the latest fashion trend was a pair of buttock exposing jeans.

Viewers were told today that the products were in fact fake and that they had been well and truly fooled!!
