Anti-obesity strategies set out by set out by the government this week highlight that the problem could be tackled with some input by employers.

The government has put forward plans to implement ‘well @ work’ strategies which would encourage employers to compete with each other in weight loss competitions in order to win prizes such as leisure vouchers.

The idea has come from the states where many companies now include financial incentives for people who live healthier lives.

The governments plans are currently being considered by employers along with other strategies to get their employers moving.
