Diamond Tops The Pops!
Wednesday 14th May 2008 Singer Neil Diamond has made it to the number on spot in the US billboard chart for the first time in his career.
The performer aged 67th has hit number one with his 29th studio album which sold over 146,000 copies in its first week on release.
The singer will be performing in Glastonbury in June and begins a European Tour on 24 May in Rotterdam. The tour includes dates in the UK cities Manchester, London, Cardiff and Glasgow.
The singers previous highest chart position was in 1973 when his album Jonathan Livingston Seagull got to number two.
